Bioclimatic PLU of Paris: what changes in practice?

PLU Bioclimatique of Paris: What Changes in Practice

On November 29th, the new Bioclimatic Local Urban Plan (PLU) of the City of Paris officially came into effect. Innovative and ambitious, this document sets major objectives for the future of the capital, placing ecological transition and the well-being of residents at the heart of urban projects. At the invitation of the law firm LPA-CGR Avocats, Axel Schoenert had the privilege of participating in a conference on this current topic, alongside Hélène Cloëz, associate lawyer.

Together, they shared their insights and analyzed the main changes introduced by this PLU, as well as its concrete impacts on architectural practices.

Among the topics discussed:
• Adaptation to climate change, for more resilient cities.
• Social and functional diversity, ensuring a variety of uses and audiences.
• Strengthening the role of nature, with ambitious goals for vegetation.
• The well-being of residents, at the core of design considerations.

This exchange allowed for a better understanding of how these priorities will be translated into the design of future projects and what architectural and urban innovations will result.
