The 19 rue Hegesippe Moreau project was designed to enhance the authenticity of this atypical building, while rethinking it as highly contemporary and resolutely turned towards nature.
The project, as envisioned by our agency, proposed the revitalization of this 1920s building and the addition of a wooden structure on top. It aimed to foster a dialogue between old and contemporary architecture, blending the existing, distinctive brick structure with the new wooden one. The project sought to embody a strong environmental approach by rehabilitating the existing structure and employing sustainable construction methods to minimize the building's carbon footprint.
The building had an unmistakably unique and modern appearance, lending it an iconic character within the neighborhood. With a strong emphasis on green spaces, the project included numerous vegetated areas on the rooftop, aiming to create a genuine natural haven on the top floor.
The project is targeting certifications such as BREEAM, HQE, WIREDSCORE, and WELL, underlining its commitment to sustainability, environmental performance, connectivity, and occupant well-being.
